Annual eye exam
Chris is visiting an in-network optometrist for an eye exam. Because Chris has a Beam vision plan with a $10 copay, that's all Chris will pay out of pocket at the time of the visit.¹ Beam, through our partnership with VSP, handles the rest directly with the provider.
¹ Beam vision plans are administered through VSP Vision Care. In-network providers accept VSP's contracted rate as payment in full for covered services. Members are responsible for applicable copays plus any costs for non-covered services or amounts exceeding plan allowances (such as frame or lens allowances). Coverage details vary by plan.

Buying new frames
Alex just found the cat-eye glasses of their dreams, and they cost $210. Alex’s Beam vision plan covers $200 for frames from an in-network provider with an additional 20% off the remaining balance in excess of $200.
