Sales experts Tim Jander and Natalie Tang to strengthen Beam’s broker partnerships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – July 19, 2022 – Beam Benefits, a digitally-enabled employee benefits company, announced that industry veterans Tim Jander and Natalie Tang joined the company as Senior Vice President of Sales and Senior Director of Client Success.
The additions come on the heels of Beam adding additional benefits products to its portfolio, including voluntary life, accident and hospital indemnity. Both Jander and Tang, formerly in vital sales roles at MetLife, will help Beam further strengthen its relationship with benefits brokers across the country and equip them with benefits products that are in-demand by the modern workforce.
“Tim and Natalie have an invaluable combination of employee benefits expertise and leadership that will help brokers get smart, digital-first benefits into the hands of employers across the country,” said Alex Frommeyer, CEO and co-founder of Beam. “In a world where benefits have never mattered more, broker partners need to be responsive, transparent, and ultimately a value-add to broker portfolios – Tim and Natalie will help Beam continue to fulfill that promise.”
Jander brings over two decades of experience in benefits sales. Prior to Beam, he led regional sales at MetLife, where he catapulted his group’s sales from last to first among MetLife’s six sales regions. Jander will focus on making it quick and easy for brokers to provide best-in-class, digital-first benefits products to their clients.
“I’m excited to join Beam at a time when the company is looking to grow fast,” said Jander. “Brokers need faster solutions for quotes, implementation and EDI connectivity for the modern workforce. Beam is here to deliver.”
Tang has a proven track record with designing and implementing effective and responsive solutions to business needs within the market's most important and complex distribution channels. At MetLife, Tang was responsible for channel development in the specialty market vertical supporting Association, Trust, PEO, Union, and Strategic Alliance Partner arrangements. At Beam, Natalie will be responsible for delivering an exceptional and differentiated digital-first experience aligned with Beam’s vision.
“Beam continues to shake up an industry that resisted change and innovation for too long,” said Tang. “I’m thrilled to be part of a company that delivers digital solutions uniquely designed to meet the needs of our strategic channel partners.”
To date, Beam has grown to nearly 400 employees, expanded to serve employers in 44 states, and raised over $160 million in capital. Beam upends incumbent benefits providers by incentivizing healthy behaviors, automating the proposal process, and forging new partnerships within the employee benefits ecosystem and insurance value chain.
